A Brief Hiatus.....

I just noticed that I haven't posted since last Wednesday. I'm so sorry, Kath, I know you can't get through the day without one of my song pics, ha ha! Since it has been a few days, I will get right to the song of the day. Friday, itunes released a second single from Lady Gaga's new album, and the song is titled "Judas". That, my friends, is my pick of the day. The single is, of course, from the album titled "Born this Way"  which is due to be released in late May. Guess who will be buying this the day it comes out? ME! I think she is so great and so talented. She and I don't share the same fashion sense, but I respect her for being who she is and dressing however the hell she wants. Still, I think the meat dress was all kinds of wrong! But, I am sitting here in jeans and a t-shirt, so I am no fashionista by any means.

In other news, it is the start of my son's Spring break from school. We went grocery shopping this morning, but other than that, I have "enjoyed" a day full of Devin tormenting the cats and me yelling at him to leave the cats alone. I have done 4 loads of laundry so far, just can't get the motivation to fold it yet. Went to Subway for lunch, the girl behind the counter asked me (after I ordered a foot-long sub) if I wanted any other sandwiches, and she looked at me like I was a mean mom when I told her "no, thanks, we are going to share this one"! So, I am starving my child by ONLY giving him a 6-inch turkey sub with cheese and veggies? Wow, that's news to me. I though the sub was a nice change from the stale bread and water I usually feed him!! JUST KIDDING!!! At the moment, I am taking a break to blog and to enjoy my last couple of hours of relative peace before Devin's friend comes over to play. Don't worry, I will make sure the kitties are safe then!

Saturday, I went to the Record Store Day festivities at Newbury Comics and Bull Moose Music. Scored alot of free music, as they had a table full of free CD samplers when we first walked in. They gave Devin a free Ozzy poster, which made him think he'd won the lottery or something! It's really sweet how something so small can make a kid so happy sometimes. Plus, they had used CD's at 30% off, so I got 3 or 4 discs I'd been wanting for less than $10. Gotta love those bargains! Did anyone attend Record Store Day at stores near them? Gotta support those independent stores when we can before they become extinct!

Well, I have to go for now. Talk to ya later!

  1. I have been missing your updates and songs, but I'm not one to judge, I've been blog slacking a bit. I've been feeling uninspired and I don't have anything interesting to say. I guess that's writer's block?
