TGI...Saturday!
I see I missed another day of blogging/song of the day. This time, I simply forgot! They say the mind is the first thing to go, after all!!! Anyway, it is a beautiful Saturday afternoon in my neck o' the woods. We spent the morning running errands and then eating lunch at a five-star restaurant known as the Mall Food Court! It's very exclusive, only everyone can get in! Plus, they didn't mind that Devin brought in his own Happy Meal! I dined on cuisine from Panda Express (LOVE the noodles!!!) and sipped a 2011 Diet Pepsi, which I understand is a very good year for Diet Pepsi. Only the finest for moi, after all! Now, one of the cats and I are hanging out in my craft room...or is that HIDING out?....because Devin has a friend over for the afternoon. They are happily (and LOUDLY!!) playing video games at the moment, saying "dude" alot, and discussing such topics as things that are "lame" (for the record, Justin Bieber and that Rebecca Black song "Friday" fit into that category, as well as video games that are rated E). Plus, I am pretty certain they are inhaling the bag of Double Stuf Oreos I just bought today, but part of me is too scared to go out there to check! LOL! The cat is laying at my feet, and every so often, he will look up at me as if to say "What the hell is going on out there?". Don't worry, kitty, it will all be over in a couple of hours! Actually, this friend that Devin has over is a pretty nice kid, so all is not too scary! Plus, with his friend here, Dev has someone to discuss videogames with that isn't me! Gotta love that! We went to Newbury comics earlier so Devin could spend the $10 his grandfather sent him for having a great report card (my Dad likes to reward good grades, I have no problem with that), and while there, I picked up a used copy of Sinead O'Conner's CD "I Do Not Want What I haven't Got". Remember that one? I used to have it, but for some reason or other I lost it years ago. I was looking at the song list today, and I had forgotten how much I loved that album! So, you probably think a track off that album is the song of the day, right? Nope!

. If I have chosen this song before in the past, I can't remember, so please bear with me! This, of course, is the album where Blondie went a little disco with "Heart of Glass", but this album is so much more than that song. Start to finish, I love every song, especially "Hanging....". From the opening telephone ring to the guitar heavy end, you can't go wrong! Plus, Debbie Harry was one of the coolest chicks in rock, and is still rockin' in her 60's! One of my old friends recently told me that I "corrupted" her with this album when we were kids, which I took as a compliment!!
