Song of the Day N' Stuff
Yesterday, I had a girls' afternoon with a very good friend, who lives in another state. (frowny face!) I had such a great time talking and catching up with her, and I realized how overdue a girls' day really was! I think when we get older and start having families of our own, we sometimes forget how important it is to keep up our friendships with our girlfriends. Maybe that's not the way to phrase it, I should say we get so busy that we can't always find the time. Anyway, I wanted to let you know, Kath, how much I enjoyed our visit and how much I appreciate that you made the trip to see me! I actually came home and took a nap after the visit (not because of Kath, but because I haven't been sleeping well at night!), so there was no song of the day post yesterday.

I don't have any stories to go with this song choice. Well, actually I do have a little bit of useless trivia, but not really related to this song. I got to see David Bowie in concert about 20 years ago when he was fronting the band Tin Machine. The show was in a nightclub, as Tin Machine was a new band (and a short-lived one), so my friend, Shannon, and I made our way up to the front of the stage, right in front of Bowie himself. Wish I could say we touched him or that he noticed us, but sadly, that was not to be. Plus, his wife, Iman, was standing back at the soundboard, looking gorgeous, and I am pretty sure she could have kicked our asses if we'd tried anything!!

I had such a great time too, it was so nice to just sit and talk and catch up, I feel like we could have talked for a couple more hours :)
ReplyDeleteWe definitely need to make this a regular thing.
Miss you!
