Is it Thursday already?

After a couple of rough/busy days, I am back in Bloglandia. Anyone who suffers from depression will relate when I say that some days, even if you are being treated for it, it will kick your ASS! We had a couple of rainy days and some stressful events, which I believe to be the trigger. Tuesday morning I had a doctor's appt (just a physical and a diabetes check-up) and Wednesday morning I had to take Devin to the dentist for his 6-month check-up, and both mornings, as soon as the appts were over and I had dropped my son off at school, I took to the sofa and could barely move. The dark cloud had descended right onto my head and shoulders, and felt like it was literally holding me down. I had used up the days' energy stores being cheerful for Devin as I prepared him for the school days and drove him to his appointents, and felt like there was nothing left. One thing I really try to do on my "blue" days is to shield Devin from it as much as possible. He's not stupid, he knows when things aren't right, but as long as I act like things are, he seems satisfied. I felt so helpless and in such despair as I lay on the couch, just so exhausted. I'm happy to report that yesterday and today, the sun has shone brightly, and with it, my mood has brightened as well. Plus, I had a nice talk with my Mom this morning that made me feel so much better about things. Thanks, Mom, I love you!

For today's song, I wanted to pick something upbeat and reflective of the warm weather that's right around the corner, so I turned to the Lady herself, Gaga!!! When I need to cheer up, I like to have a steady diet of her music, so today's song is called "Summerboy" from her album titled "The Fame" . If you have this album, you know how infectious the beat is on this track. It takes me back to Summer days driftin' away to ah-oh, those summer nights! Oops, wrong song! Well-a, well-a, well-a, UH...tell me more!! This song makes me think of the beach or of road-tripping with the windows down and the stereo volume on high, baby!!!! Woo-Hoo!!!!
