Today has been a day at home with the family. Tom and I got several chores done, and I had the pleasure of listening to Tom and Devin arguing over whose turn it was to play video games. Well, I listened to Devin's side of the disagreement, because Tom is without a voice at the moment. A few days ago, he came down with a cold and laryngitis. Now, if he wants to communicate, he does so with whispers and wild hand gestures, which becomes frustrating for him. Although I feel bad that he is sick, it is a bit frustrating for me, trying to decipher the wild hand gestures. I feel like Timmy trying to decipher Lassie's barks! "Is someone in the well, Lassie?" I started my vegetable seeds indoors this weekend, in a little plastic greenhouse. We have a raised garden bed that gave us some really good cucumbers, zucchini, etc a couple of years ago. I just didn't feel like doing the garden last year, but the idea of free, fresh vegetables is too irresistable to ignore it this year! Thinking of planting some flowers this year as well to spruce up the yard. I'm still a garden "newbie", so the word is still out on whether my thumb is, indeed, green!

Now, song of the day! Today's song is by Lita Ford, and it is called "Gotta Let Go". This track can be found on her second solo album, 1984's "Dancin' on the Edge". For many years, I had this album, until all of my vinyl albums were tragically destroyed in a basement-flooding incident at an apartment we were renting. Lita Ford was originally in the Runaways with Joan Jett and Cherie Currie in the mid-70's, but enjoyed some solo success as well. "Gotta Let Go" is a guitar-driven, hard rock tune that is the opener of a really great album, so check it out if you get the chance!
